I recall enjoying the first movie, especially the dive into the jujitsu culture of late Victorian London. It mashed up a bunch of stuff that was true with stuff that was silly but fun, and even more stuff that was off the leash bananas but which served the story.
it makes it so much easier to sit down and watch stuff with the kids that you can enjoy as well. It's always very present in my mind that the time i get to do that is very short and getting shorter. It's a bit of a skill to amuse a wide audience especially delineated by age. Our problem these days is a growing list of "you better not watch that without me" and then not getting that time when all four of us can make it (usually i have to sacrifice sitting down and run it while i'm cooking dinner or something)

Someone at my morning gym sesh today was also talking this up. I shall have a look.
Between this and Dragon Prince Season 4 Netflix doing their bit to contribute to happy time in my household.
And Andor is just next level love.
I enjoyed it mightily. Regarding diversity in period London, I've heard good things about this book - https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/61228147-black-victorians
Will do
Good to know. It's on my list and I'm looking forward to it. Millie Bobby is a gun.
I'd watch Cavill in anything and the first one was great. Genuinely sad there was never and UNCLE sequel.
