Apart from the urinating issue, if that occurs again, why not try getting up for half an hour and doing something restful, then go back to bed. Sleeping is my forte.

Perhaps embracing the old habits of 2nd sleep. During preindustrial Europe, bi-modal sleeping was considered the norm. Households at this time retired a couple of hours after dusk, woke a few hours later for one to two hours, and then had a second sleep until dawn.

'Bi-modal sleeping', so *that's* what it's called! I saw a reference to it years ago, could I find any other mention of it, could I buggery . . .

Good luck, hope your sleep routine shifts more to your liking. A good nights sleep seems to be a big factor in over all health. As Count Rugen says "If you haven't got your health, well you haven't got anything".

"If you find you have trouble getting to sleep, why not try lying on the edge of the bed? You'll soon drop off."

Well I haven't slept through the night in years and as the drugs wont last through the night I doubt that I ever will. May you all have better luck with sleep.

Sleep is something i dont have a problem with, i've mentioned before i can sleep like a battle hardened marine anywhere anytime as required - especially if i lose a bit of weight and cut out the alcohol. But that is a handy little youtube series to watch.

I have the same issue, esp not being able to go back to sleep. I have to stay off the fizzy drinks methinks, both for sleep and because I should drink less anyway (as alerted by recent blood tests)

Yeah the fizzy drinks are the worst. I'm switching to raw whisky.
