The arrival a new dog should always be a happy event, but this fine fellow comes to us in bittersweet circumstances. He’s a rescue dog, technically. The beloved companion of four small girls and their mum. A real estate agent learned of him and told them he had to go. Or they did. So we took him in. He’s a lovely dog with a great personality. But I have mixed feelings about the necessity of his arrival.

That said, it's good that you were able to take him and give him a good home, and that the girls will be able to stay in touch with him. But yeah, definitely mixed feelings for how and why he came to you 😓
It is sad when these situations occur. We have a rescue Poodle, a standard, that we got at about 10 months old. Lovely dog but sad for the previous owner children.

That's a real shame. We got a Dalmatian years ago under similar circumstances.
