I built myself some shelving for the gym today. It’s a three deck garage workshop piece from Bunnings. The manufacturer is a local mob called Pinnacle.
It’s 1.2m long, hip height, with a wooden bench top and two thick wire rack shelves with 200KG carrying capacity.
It was a heavy bastard to lug downstairs and I was worried that putting it together was going to be like IKEA raised to the power of a Mechwarrior attack.
But it mostly snapped into place without a problem or even the need for a second pair of hands. It’s also about half the price of dedicated weight racks which aren’t nearly as sturdy or functional.
IKEA for killer robots

I am pleased.
