I was in Japan this time last year and fell in love with taiyaki. Mostly fish shaped pastries filled with sensational custard (or red bean paste for people with no taste buds) avaialable almost everywhere. I ate at least two a day and came back lighter than when I left. The results speak for themselves.

Clearly a new superfood that all the fitspo influencers are going to be hawking in a matter of months. You're ahead of the curve.

If you ate it standing up it would be even healthier because then it has no calorific value.

I find this endlessly amusing. My other half is a sweettoother and i can only assume Jane is not one, like me, who prefers a savoury bent? My only real sweet weakness are those sour worm things. I'm convinced two sweetooths in a relationship can only be good for sellers of clothes that keep getting bigger.

Nothing like a bloody good pie with just the right amount of sauce 😋
