i only got as far as season 2 originally and have missed it ever since . . even if the ending was supposed to be horrendous. Just waiting on the new LOTR to drop and i'm hoping beyond hope it doesn't leave a tarnished smell on the original movies (this comment excludes The Hobbit ones as if they dont exist).
But it kind of felt like the actors were overacting a bit because they KNEW everyone would be watching. So they hadn't really inhabited the characters, but more were presenting their stylised interpretation of what they think we want to see. It all just felt a bit off to me.
Kind of hard to explain, but I am hoping either it will settle down over a few episodes or I will just relax and accept them as the characters.

I think I'm going to like this show too. I don't like any of the characters so I'll be happy, when George kills them all off
