Awww hi Willow!

The hilarious thing (and I use the term "hilarious" subjectively) about cats being creatures of rigid and unchanging routines is that it seems they will change those routines on a dime if it means fucking with you.

Willow: "Hmmmm... major demolition and disruption happening in two places... fuck the usual routine, I'm going to go sleep in a safe and obvious spot that the Primary Hooman won't think to look in, and see how long it takes him to freak out about my absence. Let's see how many treats and cuddles this will generate."

Congratulations Primary Hooman, when the evolution of opposable thumbs occurs and humans are rendered obsolete, Willow's spiritual descendants will remember you and keep you as a pet as a reward for your loyal service. 🫡

And you call yourself genx with obvious helicopter parent tendencies like that! :) I too cat-astophise when it comes to pets. And its because they found a cupboard door open somewhere and figured it would be a perfect new spot to sleep in the usual run around like crazy period of the day.

Nothing like a Calico cat, when discussing my calico Porche, my female vet said these type of cats were the equivalent of redheaded, green eyed women and all that entailed.

I would definitely be a Calico’s human again, but now stay away from green eyed redheads.

Glad she is safe and sound and being treated as befits her station.

In Australia we call then tortiseshell cats, and they have "tortitude", which 100% aligns with your redheaded, green eyed women analogy.

I've been owned by two torties in my life, they were both magnificent cats. I miss them still.
