The back end of last week was a bit of a write-off for me. I had a Covid booster on Thursday morning and the usual crash by that night. Managed to write the weekly Sideboob, mostly because it wrote itself (Thanks, Vlad), but progress on the books was slow.
The crud had cleared by Saturday night, so I blocked out a couple of hours each day to try catch up. Mostly on the last Cruel Stars book, which I’d dearly love to get finished before flying out for a break in a couple of weeks.
Made some headway, but it’s Sunday night now and I’m knocking off because I fear I may have just written myself into a corner with one of the subplots and I want to give my brain a rest before I try figure it out.
Jane’s away visiting Canberra from Tuesday to Thursday this week, so I’m planning on putting underpants on head and punching the shit out of the keyboard until it’s all done.
When I have to work on a weekend, I often find that I'm not too productive on the following Monday anyway. Sometimes it's the only way to smash out a piece of work uninterrupted, though.
My younger self would cringe if he could hear me saying this.
Your experience with the COVID-19 vaccine you have mentioned before and others have also expressed such reactions when given vaccines such as the influenza one each year. Everytime I hear or read of it a voice whispers in my brain "..that never happens when you get vaccines....maybe your immune system isn't working....maybe there is something wrong with YOU..." so just wanted to say thanks for that.
Woohoo! And after the new Cruel Stars book is done... another one? :D There are seven Foundation novels, so you have to beat that!
As someone who doesn't have to write the books, I second this!
You know its serious when you can't make it to the laundry basket to put away those damn unmentionables.
I bet the kitchen is absolutely spotless as well. Quelle horreur!

You are, of course, most welcome.
