The kids liked the rebootish/sequel so i guess i'll see this as well. Must. Not. Read. The. Reviews. Actually its a good general rule these days - movies get panned just because a certain subsection dont like the gender of a character or whatever that has been changed or included. One movie recently that i saw heaps of people laying praise on was Saltburn. And i was a bit meh about it. Usually i like a bit of a twisted tale. Thought it was a bit lacklustre in script/plot and just didnt really make sense/believe-ability in what we were being asked to accept. Maybe i was in the wrong headspace when i saw it. It felt a bit hobbled together. But other people loved it, so more luck to them. TV is definitely where its at these days for my tastes.
I only read media reviews AFTER I've seen the film because I dont agree with most reviewers and a lot of them can't write analysis without giving away the plot. I never read punter reviews, because... ugh.
