I’m back from hospital a couple of days now. Not up for much, just a lot of couch time, some reading and streaming. Occasionally dipping my toe into the fire hose of crazy on Twitter. (Haven’t been back to FB yet).
One nice thing I saw on the bird site was the new Ghostbusters trailer. It looks great. I love the way they’ve focused in on a bunch of misfit kids, Goonies style. I think the small town setting is a brilliant switch up. And even though the trailer is only a minute or so long, it gave me all the feels.
I am so here for this, for No Time to Die, and for Dune. I broke an 18 month long cinema attending drought on the weekend when my BFF and I took her daughter to see Black Widow, so I think I'll be up for seeing all three in cinemas when they arrive. The Independent Sovereign Nation of Westralia being aggressively COVID free and operating mostly normally does make this a much easier option to choose though.
It's weird thinking about going to see a movie in a cinema after having been so long away. This looks good, but I think I'm saving my return to cinema post lockdowns for Dune on IMAX.
That looks capital-b Brilliant.
Sold!
The last Ghostbusters movie wasn't up to much (I think it got butchered in the edit), but this looks well right!

I do like the look of that. My daughter is into the paranormal, think I might be watching this with her

Given the choice between this and No Time to Die, I would go Bond.
Ghostbusters, mwah too Yank/cartoon/marvelesque. More something for a netflix night.
I dont see myself going inside a theatre for a long time. So I’ll be screening them all at home.
