After a cold but fine weekend, we got some real Tasmanian weather overnight, so I’ll be staying tucked up in my hotel room today, working on The Javan War. We’ll see how that goes without my usual screen farm. I don’t mind the change in venue, however. Lots of writers dream of locking themselves into a hotel room until their project is done. And there is something pleasing about being warm and dry while foul weather prevails outside your big picture windows.
I hear it's colder than normal on the east coast of Australia at the moment. I wouldn't know, seeing as how Little W, Mrs W and I are enjoying some summer weather in France. Smirk.
When you finish, dont crash in the snow and get rescued by a retired nurse.

I feel you. We're off to LA for a few weeks of 30° and no rain.

Writing tip number 47 : Stop looking out the window.
JB "writes" by dictation, we're told. Surely that can be done while staring off to infinity?
"It was a dark and stormy night" has morphed into "It was a wet and miserable day"
Nothing a few pints at Preachers can't fix!
Yep on above.
