Third season looks the goods so far though. Also thoroughly enjoyed Murderbot. Very glad it has been renewed for a second season.

I enjoyed the Murderbot TV show. It was much more comedic than I found the book. A socially uncomfortable robot gets stuck with some space hippies and, despite his every intention, begins to care about them. I genuinely think Skarsgård drew a lot from Bob Newhart for his characterisation.

I didn't mind the first season of Foundation; admittedly I was coming at it as a total newbie to the universe and completely oblivious to the source material, so can confirm it did a good job of building the world and its rules for people with no other knowledge of it. I kind of forgot about season 2, got distracted by Silo, Dark Matter, Slow Horses, Shrinking etc, and now I've had that "oh shit, there's a new season coming?" jolt to remind me to go back to it.

I'm going to be in Bali next week to spend a week dissociating by the pool, I'll have to load S2 onto the tablet to take with me.

i know its all about money when you are talking hollywood (cynical part of me there) but this kind of fits the narrative about art creating/inspiring more art (aspirational part of me in this end bit). Sometimes just needs that spark from some other creative brain to do something just as amazing

Oh damn I gave up on Foundation. Might have to use the next ‘come back’ offer Apple sends my way

Testament to our persistence, that we'd continue with a show that has a slow/ordinary initial 8 hours or so.
