Make the first thing on your list "Write a list of 3 things you're going to address today", then you can scratch out the other two you write and go back to bed satisfied.

I used a variation of this today. Instead of writing down ALL OF THE THINGS, I only wrote down six. And then I added one because it was time sensitive and I'm still quite rubbish at saying no. So then I had seven things on the list.

AND I CROSSED OFF FIVE!

Albeit, including the new one.

Still.

Pretty happy with that.

My wife has always said the first thing on your list you do should be the one that really scares you, that makes you sick up a little bit in your mouth. She's right, everything else on the list is a walk in the park after that ...

In plaguetown we have adopted the list three things to do in a WEEK, cut two of them, and bring me my artisanal, ethically sourced, dripping with irony smily face mask I am going out for coffee.

First on my list: check on the Burger. Now I get a guilt free day doing nadda. After fixing the computer, chopping down some dangerous trees, digging a large hole and baking bread, that is.

Shoulda, coulda, didn't. Did the first three - tick - then tweaked my back turning the compost. Now the starter isn't rising. Sigh...some days it's better to underachieve.
