I'm all for ignoring the critics and diving Scrooge McDuck style into the swimming pool of doubloons. Money talks and bullshit walks.

But jeezus Dan Brown is/was a shit writer of badly plotted, unimaginative and unnecessary tripe. He added nothing to the oeuvre of books that gets better with altitude. That millions of people apparently liked them is a worrying damnation of multiple jurisdictions' school systems.

That's brilliant. The renowned author is on fire, like a burning thing aflame.

That was just wonderful! How I laughed! I could actually read a whole novel in this hilarious style. It reminded me a little of the fiction of Adrian Mole. Just brilliant.

The paragraph about the wife is just delightful

‘But with no fish in it “ 😂😂

If you want a classic takedown of the actual content of his books then this from renowned 😀😀 Bible scholar Bart Ehrman is worth a listen

Magnificent but its not the greatest review ever written - that would be the one star review of Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice posted on Amazon by Mr carlton b morgan "just a bunch of people going to each other’s houses".

Write a review like that and people share it around (because it's frankly, hilarious).

Write a review saying "I didn't like this book because the writing style is that of a constipated manchild who never learned english and is far too impressed wtih his own navel. 1 star." And you get yelled at for leaving a bad review.

I’d like to see a review like this or the Sid Perelman variety for sports commentators
