One good thing about Covid19, it kept me out of my usual dives for most of last year. Instead, I had a year of writing. Lots and lots of writing. And this year you get all the ‘splodey goodness to come of it. Thanks to everybody who hopped onto Amazon last week to grab a super-cheap copy of
Jeez peeps, perhaps hold back on the whinging about the lack of printed or ebook versions, and let everyone enjoy the release of the final book in the trilogy?
The second and third books are still under contract with Audible, but printed and ebook versions will come eventually. JB has already made it clear that he's holding off on a printed version until he can do an omnibus version of all three books so it's cheaper for y'all. Have a bit of patience.
So... I post this funny meme that has a pic of Fauci with:
"Cockwomble: A person, usually male, prone to making outrageously stupid statements and/or inappropriate behavior while generally having a very high opinion of his own wisdom and importance."
I look it up and it seems like it's a new word just invented recently and then....
I just finished "The Cruel Stars" last Friday - which says you first published in 2019!
Now I feel so ignorant....
Haha (which has only two syllables as opposed to lol which has three and means.... "haha").
I have just finished this and it was not so much an audio book but an old school radio play. The tone and cadence of Degas added so much more to your words John, of which you should be proud. Fricking loved it.
JB you legend, already tweeted at you about how good Zero Day Code is (reread it twice now) but when’s book 2 out on Kindle for those of us who can’t handle Audiobooks?
Thanks JB - while my dear-old-blind dad is a big fan of audible, as a deaf bugger I’m stuck with, ahem, err, text novels. Any way you can see your way to hear my plea for ... an e-book version?
Terrific John. You finished a series. Too bad I can't see it. I can only listen. I get contracts, but to not have a version with words printed on paper or squiggly lines on a screen is just horrible. I can't listen to audio books (much as I wish I could) so that leaves me with print and there is no "print" of the second and third books. Eesh.
1 1/2 years later, still only audible. Not by me (listening does not fit my habits). I think I'll forget about King Birmo until I can read it in print.
Just finished listening to all three audio books in 5 days only stopped for work, lectures and exams. Signed up on here just to say wow! Amazing story, characters, narration and more importantly for me pace. Gripped me from book one all the way to the end of book three.
I'll hold my hands up and say I havent read or listened to any other work by you but that will surely change shortly. Well done mate! or in Wales 'butt' I look forward to discovering more of your work.
Loving these audiobooks and listen in the car. Only got another hour or so to go. Wish Brisbane traffic was worse so I could spend more time listening.
Just wanted to let you know I read a LOT of books and that you're one of my favourite authors just finished Zero Day Code I've also read nearly all your other books all brilliant 👍 first author I've subscribed to
Finally out of a rabbit hole just in time to applaud this series and then read the news about the cyber attack shutting down meat processing firm JBS in Queensland....gee, who woulda thought of that idea?

Well these ever be on a non-Amazon platform?
Fuck yeah! Loving the John Rambo wank fest!

Awesome, thank you JB. You keep writin' 'em, I'll keep readin' 'em.
