I looked up from the screen yesterday to find I had a visitor. This disturbingly large heckhound. He’d bailed up the two labs and was eying off the cat as a potential snack.
I distracted him with some kibble and got the Council dog dude around to pick him up. The dog dude said it was his third time in the paddy wagon.
He was a big boy. Friendly enough as long as I was pushing kibble at him. He’d have made short work of the cat, though, and there was no way he was letting me get close enough to read his name tag. I still have no idea what his name was.
Speaking of random animal encounters....living near the edge of Brisbane, I had 7 chooks, all called Doris. My favourite was the black Doris who loved cuddles. Wednesday she escaped and was foraging so I let her be until I heard the squawk and so on. Bolted out and there running past me was a bloody fox with dead Doris in its mouth. A real fox, bushy tail and all. So now, I have an animal trap, to hopefully catch said fox and make myself a foxhat very soon. Bastard.
Bandit finally escaped the kids and is giving NO FUCKS
