It there a specific gene that causes people to go down the inside lane when traffic is stopped then push their way into the line at the very end as everyone else waits patiently. If there is I fully support a weapon that targets specific genes.
I know the whole Destroyer of Worlds thing is kind of your schtick but disguising a detailed instruction manual on how to destroy the world as a piece of fiction for the Chinese to follow is a bit dark even for you 😂
I recall reading 20+ years ago that someone somewhere was worried that some secret lab in Iran was working on a genetically-engineered virus that would target Israelis. It wasn't clear to me at the time whether this was a realistic possibility (well, that someone might work on this; 20+ years ago I _think_ the odds of succeeding would be very low) or just a paranoid fantasy. But I certainly don't want to detract from your feelings of priority here 😃.
Stephen Baxter had a similar side theme in Titan. The US, paranoid of the Chinese by what could be described as Trumps dumber and more conservative cousin, launches a virus that targets Han Chinese.
The Chinese respond by crashing a meteor into the Earth and taking out everyone.
Fail State came out around the time Chinese pivoted and started accusing United States of having created it at Fort Detrick. I'm not sure the virus was mentiond in first book, but anyway, I remember hearing the accusations as I was reading the second book, because I had this surreal moment where I was reading stuff, then watching it on CNN. For a moment there I couldn't tell if the dog was waggings it's tail, or the tail was wagging the dog.
Probably why you didnt get publicly denounced on publication. I was doing some reading of the massacre of Nanjing a few weeks ago and saw a reference to a place called Unit731. So went down a rabbit hole and hooboy that left me in a funk for a few days. That was absolutely horrendous reading about something i'd never even heard of before. I wonder what the Chinese equivalent of 731 is because sure as hell they used human subjects to refine that type of weapon. Maybe someone should remind them of their very recent history at the hands of the Japanese and how to rise above it.
Speaking of gene targeting I am seeing a lot of chatter about deodorant and stinky people lately. About 20 odd years ago i stopped wearing deodorant because i found i didnt pong. Even if i worked a whole day in summer sweating my arse off i didnt smell. Or if i was on a hiking/camping trip (and washing was extremely limited) i didnt exude a smell. Turns out i'm in a 2% category and its gene related (figured out it came from dads side, one of my kids seems to have it but the other one definitely does not!) The incidence is higher in asian ethnicity but a gene test i did didnt show any asian ancestry. Also linked to a condition of excess/dry ear wax which i have suffered from since a kid (i had to regularly go in to get my ears syringed out. It was horrendous because they used one of those comically giant metal things that looked like it was out of a horror movie).

Is this the time and place to argue that the zipper merge is better for everyone?

I was hoping to see the phrase 'running dogs of capitalism' again.
We all were, Therbs.
I've been saying for a while that you're a prophet. In the case of ZDC, kinda hoping you're wrong, tho.
Just what a covert Chinese agent would be expected to say JB.
