I’ve been meaning for a while to start writing short stories and publishing them here at the Burger. One a month, so that over, say, two years, I’d build up a publishable collection.
This bold plan ran headfirst into my complete ignorance of how short stories even work. But I’ve started to figure it out, so in the next day or so there’ll be a mail out here with a 3000-word piece called The Fixers. It’s not for Nanowrino, but it is about Nanowrimo.
Also, as I mentioned in the previous thread, I’m thinking of restarting the Cheeseburger Bookclub, this time as a Zoom catch-up every month or so.
The first book will be Holly, by Stephen King, because that gives me a head start. We can meet before Christmas to discuss it. I’ll host. Let me know if you’re interested in coming along. I’ll try emailing the invites and passwords so it’s at least semi-private.
yep finished Holly a couple of weeks ago, had been hanging for it most of the year. Happy to discuss
I'm keen.
I hadn't realised that King had a new book out until your post below. Why does Bezos even have an algorithm if it can't recommend King to me within nanoseconds of a new release?
