Roadtrip

We didn’t take a holiday over Christmas so we’ve been on the road this week catching up on some downtime. Currently we’re hanging in Sydney, but we also did a couple of days in Newcastle, where Jane used to work, and broke the trip at the half way point on the first day, overnighting on a farm in Bellingen.

This makes it look more rustic than it was. You had the option of a modern indoor bathroom, but I chose to have a hot steamy bath in the outdoors with the roos and wallabies.

Indoors was very nice, too.

Had a trip to Bondi yesterday to check out the old hood. It has changed completely and not at all. Thousands of tourists, because there are always thousands of tourists. I just happened to be one of them this time. But the surf was booming and the beer at the Icebergs was cold. So Bondi abides.

We’ll turn around and head back home soon, probably doing the drive in one day.
