Even with an airtight case, there's no winning with the pogues. Best not to try in the first place and slink off with your severance.

Could 30k-ish pikes and horses and swords etc really be worth 6.5B pounds ($12.5B)? He might still be ahead if he asks for the cheque and arranges for delivery...

(I worried briefly that 30k horses might be a lot, but the world population is apparently about 60M, so I dare say they could be had, somewhere.)

Anyway, might be worth haggling a bit more.

I think if it had happened today the UK government might have paid him the 6.4 billion, but not before Lord Cameron upsold him into a complicated supply chain finance scheme to fund a few subs.
