I don't know how accurate this is, but apparently the Ukrainian chief of intelligence liked his posts?? If it's true that's some next level expert trolling. Slava Ukraini.

If memory serves me right the boys and girls in 'Stan were forbidden to use Strava and likeminded apps. As entertainment consisted of running in circles around the camp, certain bearded gentlemen could pinpoint "secret" camps and surprise those with a 122mm rocket or two.

Those stupid rockets were always such a distraction. There you'd be, reading or something, and some a-hole would lob one in. Whatever.

While it is in no way equivalent, it reminds me of sitting in my office chair riding out earthquakes in Wellington NZ. Definitely whatever.

Strava is life and sometimes death. I hope the assassin stopped his Garmin and saved the activity.

Tempted to find all his activities and flag them

Strava's default is to hide the beginning/end of runs/rides, because obvs that's where people live most of the time. This guy must have been regular as clockwork, then if they got him midway through his run based on his strava data.

Given even my department is using a private company to collect open source data from apps for suspected criminal activities, (contrary to objections from some of us) I am not suprised to find less than pleasant individuals such as murderers, smugglers, terrorist/freedom fighters employ them.
