Woke up about three this morning with the start of a migraine. I get the pixel swirl about half an hour before the headache, and that’s what I woke up to.
Pretty weird time to get one, but I took a couple of panadol and tried to get back to sleep.
That didn’t work out so well, but at least it wasn’t a skullcrusher. It did put the zap on my head, though. I couldn’t put a coherent thought together until well after lunch.
Until about now. So, a late start for me. I’m trying to get the last book in The Cruel Stars series drafted before we take off overseas, and I can’t really afford a day of lazing around feeling sorry for myself, so I’ll probably skip jujitsu tonight in favour of working a bit later. Don’t want to push it too hard, though, because that just leads to more migraines.

It's weird, but when I first started getting migraines they would come at three in the morning.
My GP prescribed me something called Relpax (which may or may not be the brand name, not the actual name) and if you take it about 30 minutes before the migraine kicks in (if you're lucky enough to get that window) it steps in and beats the migraine before it starts. First time I did this I felt this weird void like my brain was telling me that something should be happening but it isn't.
