The other day, I received a pleasant package containing a bespoke gin made by Justin Bell, one of our regulars here (and soon to be a cover identity in the next Sleeper Agent book).
After bedding down the Felafel re-launch, I finally had time to uncork it and take a sip last night and omifuckinggod it’s amazing.
On Justin’s advice I used it to make a martini (not that I need much advising on that score), and I’m happy to report that with a whiff of Dolin vermouth waved past the mixing jug it comes together as one of the smoothest cocktails you could want.
I think we (the Sunshine Coast Hinterland) have a local spirit's microbrewery (or whatever they are) that does the local markets every weekend, which, in and of itself, is a good reason to hit the markets!
the presentation of those bottles is pretty damn nice. Also checked out the website - i like the business idea of a mobile bar. Congrats Justin. Shame you are so far away from me (rural NSW) as i have a 50th to plan for Jan. Venue is booked and now i have to plan the rest

Okay Justin, which gin should I buy if i am just going the classic G+T.
You want to go with The Lakehouse Gin, with some Long Rays Pacific tonic (or fever tree Mediterranean if you can’t get that).
It’s what you drink when you want to get elegantly wasted at your lakehouse (or beach house)!
I will purchase a Lakehouse to make sure I am drinking the gin in it's most conducive enviroment.
