I got my (fifth?) Covid shot yesterday morning. The Moderna bivalent. I was fine most of the day but it hit hard late in the afternoon. Spent most of the night tossing, turning, shivering and sweating. Woke up knowing I wasn’t gong to get a blade of work done, so decided to call a day off and really lean into it.
Mostly I’ve been reading, which is a pleasant change. I’m about 3/4 of the way through Jim Molan’s Danger on Our Doorstep and have been surprised at just how gnarly it is. He must have known he was dying while he wrote it, because he doesn’t hold back.
I worked for Jim when he was a baby colonel in the 1980s and found him to be a good man and a great boss. It was a bit tough watching him get dragged on Twunter after he kicked off. I’m sorry now I waited until he was dead to read his book.
Besides that, I got some serious napping planned for this arvo, to catch up on the sleep I lost last night. And I think Jane is making flat chicken for dinner. Might catch up on my Netflix stack o’ shame at some point, too.
I'm glad you had a kitty there to supervise your enforced relaxation. They have some excellent tips on doing sweet FA all day and regretting none of it.
Pullwed up ok after 5th Covid booster and flu vaccine at the same time. 5G reception is great, and the new nanobots seem to play nice with the old ones.
Yeah, social media pile-ons are the worst. Maybe I'll read his book just to spite those sh*ts.

It's important to have goals.
