my brother in law is in Maleny and he's strapped down the carport and the chicken shed but the mother in law who normally resides in the logan area is down at my sister in laws baby sitting her grandchildren while those mooches are spending two weeks in fiji. Not sure she was prepared for a cyclone to hit while she was away. Fingers crossed it is a . . . .storm in a teacup?
I'm just around the corner from Maleny - might see a few tree branches that should have been pruned litter the place; might even cut off the tourists for the weekend!
I was going to open my shop today, but instead I'm housesitting for some friends that have fled to Bundaberg.
All the quiet might give me time to do some writing!
I hope all are safe. Cyclones in Brisbane are natures way of asking if you have followed the National Emergency Management Agency's prep for emergencies
Batteries JB, then beer. And at least a few tins of good old bully beef for sangas if the power is offline.
Living in the Pilbara for too long to recount, prepping for a cyclone becomes like getting ready from Christmas, you know the season is coming and you just had best get on with making yourself ready.
See, if you weren't your own boss it'd be the perfect scenario - can't do work but can drink beer on the veranda, at least until the rain goes horizontal.

Stay safe, and coolly hydrated...

Wow, God must be punishing you for being a leftist fucking cunt.

"I don't suppose..." No. There isn't.
Fingers crossed for Brisbane and hoping it’s not a repeat of 2011.
Is now a good time to start a playlist for cyclone disaster?
Maybe 4’33”…
