I'm in Brisvegas on the 8th/9th for one of the oktoberfest weekends (we are splashing out like old affluent fat bastards and travelling a whole state just to drink beer on a bloody VIP table no less!). Seeing beer will be drunk i definitely need someone to keep reminding me about dates and times.
I'm in the neighbourhood. I work across the road from the venue, I'll try to get over there on the Friday, or shift some stuff around to get in there on the weekend.

If you can work out the details of your keynote to a sufficient degree, you won't have to worry about forgetting. Go whenever you feel like it.
