ms insomniac's boss came back to work on a Monday looking a bit battered and bruised. Apparently he ran into a kangaroo on the golf course, and lost.

A few years ago someone entered the leopard enclosure at San Francisco zoo. Cause of death was more spectacular than "blunt force trauma", I gather. People are stupid. Come to think of it, it's disappointing that the cause of death here wasn't disembowelment, as that is what we were all warned about as kids. I once saw a kangaroo at Currumbin trying to disembowel an American tourist - funny how it knew who to pick on - it was a smallish kangaroo, maybe needed a few years growth to get its disembowelling game going.

Should I now expect news stories about 100 men climbing into a gorrilla enclosure? In the words of Murderbot 'humans are idiots'.

guaranteed alcohol was involved. I was walking in the bush out the back of my old place once. A grey kangaroo missing an eye was standing in the track. He was only a little one, coming up to my shoulder, but i treated the guy with all due respect because maybe he was looking for a replacement eye . . . . there was a very western like standoff till he got bored and buggered off. I do not need to be injured in some weird encounter when i didnt have an emergency beacon where hardly anyone walks.

Hang on, this was real! Other news sources also reported it. I'd have thought nobody could be so stupid... apparently not.
