I finally had to throw away my favourite pair of jeans yesterday. A $29 pair of blue straight leg denim champions from Uniqlo. Man, that was hard. I wore them to Supanova over the weekend, our last outing together. They served me well, of course. But they were literally falling apart and they did not survive the wash on the gentle cycle in the machine when I got home.
Please pour one out for my favourite old jeans. I have never had such value out of a $29 purchase.
I had an old set of DCU coveralls that did yeoman's service after their year in the desert. I have similar feelings about them as you have for your dearly departed jeans.
My niece made me a quilt out of my old jeans. Bestest Xmas ever. Have you seen HALO? Any thoughts? Better than I thought it would be so far. Fairly gritty and dark. It’s refreshing . The Woke sci fi movement is already tiresome and boring as hell.
Paramount I think, which is increasingly adding shows that I want to watch but I already have too many streaming services as it is, so I'm delaying signing up until I at least partially clear the decks on my watchlists. *shakes fist*
yeah - unless you (cough cough) pirate these things, i'm thinking the best plan is to manage a round robin of services, stopping and starting services as required
ha. I did that for my favourite pair of long leg cargoes. They'd reached the exalted position of yard work only - but the rip in the knee from a fence accident and the split along the seam under the leg showed way too much of what was on the inside of the pants (meat and potatoes) that they finally got consigned to the bin. Couldn't even use them for rags
You don’t just retire them to the bottom of the bottom drawer? Then you never have to say goodbye, just see you later.
The grief of letting a favourite piece of clothing go is quite unique. Value $29 Uniqlo jeans. Thank you for your service.
This is why you should never wash jeans.
some Uniqlo gear has some suprising quality to them.
Every dad is a $29 pair of Uniqlo jeans away from becoming a Uniqlo dad.

What's it on?
Yup Paramount.

It is SO hard to let them go.
