John Birmingham is the best of the best of Australia sure he has born in old Blighty, But he's been around for enough decades to make a Genuine Aussie. And by God he can write! The Weapons of Choice trilogy was probably the best bit of military science fiction I have ever read and I've read a lot of them. Zero Day Code is a different genre but equally impressive.
Hey John, I'm lowly Kobo user. Are you able to look me up too please? Hanging out for the next Cruel Stars book too! Collecting the paper version of those though.
I'm in a trilogy-ical mood - the Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky is a marvel of great SF and deserving of a second read soon. So too goes my re-read plan for Zero Day Code, re-visiting favorite characters living and not so living. Somehow I can never read just one book in a trilogy - if I don't have all three books of the set I get nervous real quick.
p.s. the Golden Minute universe is lacking something - like more books! I love that guy and that gal and I want them to get together and find his horse alive and kicking, like moments after losing the poor critter.
Hi JB, great news but would like to add the trio of these books to my hard copy collection. Looking forward to the day when they're released as such, would've made a self Christmas present!!
Brilliant! I wake up dying for a decent 2am read and JB delivers 1,000 pages of goodness straight to my tablet.
I really must pay him some more money one day, but he’d probably just spend it on drugs, alcohol, and horrible jazz records.

I bought all the audiobooks! Was a great journey.

I really really want this trilogy but I really really don't want to sign up to the Beast of Bez.
Quandary, much.
Not much. When I get to my desk I’ll find your email address and send you a secret free link for a nice little dead drop.

Awesome. Got it. Legend! Thanks heaps! 😀
most appreciated!
That’s great! Thanks! Is there any word when the 3rd Cruel Stars book will be released?
When they finish editing. I’d guess within 4-6 months.
Thankee thankee thankee, ver' much app-reciated!

Funny you say that, Ammo. I cracked the seal on that file yesterday. More to come.
Hoo hoo hoo!
Gold-Den Min-nit! Gold-Den Min-nit!
Easy plot: Good guys Win! Bad guys Lose!
Hoo hoo hoo!
Ugh, that would be a travesty. Still look forward to the print version, trust in your expertise. Best wishes for the festive season, onwards to 2024
It’s coming as soon as I can figure out a way around this 800 page limit
How about a 5pt font?
Shirley, you jest. But I have thought about it.
Of course I jest; 7pt is really about as low as you can go.
But more seriously. Fuck formatting and punctuation. You still get all the words.

I’ve been working on that this week, Joe. The only problem I have is the page limit for print on demand. I’m having to cut about 130 pages!
