There’s no such thing as too much brisket. In fact what a great name for a resteraunt . Or a blog . I think I’m inspired. Unfortunately my lnherent laziness may keep me from taking advantage.
I go through stages of whether i'm a tee totaler or not. But finding i'm drinking less in the periods i do imbibe. To mark dad's passing i got a nice bottle at the local distillery to share with the family after the hard day of saying goodbye: https://www.stonepinedistillery.com.au/product-page/dead-man-s-fire-smoked-rum
Its a winter warmer - heats you up all the way down but didnt leave me with a reflux affliction afterwards and leaves a nice after taste. And then gets better each sip (straight) that you have. Although their spiced rum is amazing too (called dead mans drop - all based on themes of colonial bushrangers who met their end dangling on a rope). I was never really a rum person but now i'm finding myself drinking less i'm willing (and able) to spend a bit of coin on the good stuff and branching out a bit. I also bought a bottle of 1800 anejo tequila ages ago and it was a revelation - tequila has always been rough, dirty and inevitably linked with salt and lime at the wrong end of the night. This anejo tequila was sweet heaven : )
I'm yet to find a good brisket place though - i always leave disappointed, which is a consequence of two unrelated mates who are amazing bbq connoisseurs. One of them is cheating though - he's south african by birth (for his 40th he even had a meat cake, lots of cured sth african delights arranged in a cake format. End process gas may have been a problem at the end of the night though . . . )
It was a great couple of hours, and I'm very glad I found out about it on the Friday before, and not the Monday after.

That really IS a great name for a restaurant.
That does sound delightful.
