Look with Clive Palmer mounting a high court challenge to our hard border restrictions, with the full support of the federal government I might add, we had to make the consequences of testing our border REALLY CLEAR to you easterners, since you ignored our subtle hints, our mild protestations, and polite entreaties to stay the hell away from us. You have no one to blame but yourselves. But yeah, this is how we roll 😂
Why dont you give all us Melburnians a paper cut and rub some lemon juice into it. You smug Queenslanders with your restaurants and gyms. If we ever get to leave our houses again we will be coming up there like locusts, eating the good food and stealing the sunshine.
I can see a business opportunity as part of a post-plague future: delivering an old-school restaurant experience. Kinda like westworld, but the new luxury will be about touch, smell and taste.
i'll be heading up that way soon - i need to get in before the border closes hard again (really bad news from my partners family - the worst kind). Luckily i come from a rural setting and we can run people off from the gate without having to go within 200m of them so we don't come from a 'hotspot'. It'll be a long drive though (not getting on a plague plane) "kids, keep the windows up and if anyone sneezes outside they are fair game, dad has put the extra big bull bar on the front"
So true. I love open kitchens. Watching a kitchen brigade in action for service is amazing, never mind the bar staff. We clearly have similar taste in fave foods, I have been making panko crumbed pork cutlet dish for the past 3 months after seeing it on TV one night. I did not know it was called Milanese cotoletta but I serve mine with a heavily buttered mash and fried cabbage, done with garlic, speck, onion and red capsicum.
I like open kitchens to the point that our main living area is a large open kitchen. Tried to post a photo.
Well you will keep giving hotel quarantines exemptions to folk like the Prime Minister's favorite female vocalist. At least you didn't let 1200 US troops fly in from a Japanese barracks that's been found to have covid infected personnel.
Last time we went out, almost two months ago, it was still 10 peeps per dining session. The following day it was 50 so I don't think we would have gone, and we haven't since. We all knew, or should have, that a second wave was coming, and stuck to personal lockdown. Way too much complacency and mixed messaging ... oh, and people who have not a scintilla of science nor a wish to comprehend any of it. Idiocracy here we come.

And as a temporary Westralian, may I just say it feels like Miss Rona has given Mr MacGowan just the excuse he needed to slam those borders shut!
(With the added bonus of dropping them on Clive's greedy, pudgy fingers right now!)

And here far to the north a mere 58,858 cases yesterday. So much winning. And the pork chop looks amazing.

Science is an awfully big concept for the nuffies. It's hard enough to get em to wash their hands (with 5G alcorub).
