I was kind of incredulous reading this long piece in PC Mag from a guy who’d used AI to generate his own version of Zombies Run.
He basically turned his workouts into an immersive audio story. So, imagine instead of just doing burpees or planks, you’re the main character in some epic adventure using, er, burpees and planks to defeat SPECTRE… or something. He used Perplexity.ai to research and design the workouts, then ChatGPT to turn the exercises into a story.
Finally. ElevenLabs Reader app narrates the whole thing in a voice that sounds like Morgan Freeman coaching you through squats because secret agents do a surprising number of deep knee bends while defeating SPECTRE.
It’s fucking weird, and I frankly couldnt believe it while I was reading it. I’m really not giving you the full flavour of the madness here.
I’m reminded of backyard cricket where, of course, in your mind you are courageously playing for Australia against England to win The Ashes.
If all sports are codified war, all physical training is sanitised basic training.
This person has just gone to next level. Or maybe even the level after that. I don't get the need for it, personally, but if it gets someone off the couch, who am I to argue?
