Day off.
I’ve learned not to bother trying to work on days that I go in for skin cancer excisions. For one thing, I’m too full of codeine afterwards to be able to concentrate. So today I just had a day off. I read Tom Holland’s Roman history, Pax. Watched a couple of YouTube videos. Had a nap.
Bought myself a disgracefully cheap roast chicken from Woolies for dinner, tore it up and threw it on some disgracefully cheap bread rolls. I might watch John Wick 4, or I might go to bed early. Haven’t decided yet. Reckon there might be some more painkillers and perhaps a whiskey in my near future, however.
Drugs, reading, a nap, trash TV, supermarket food and a whisky to finish. That's living your best life.
Oooh a supermarket roast chicken on disgracefully cheap bread rolls is a meal of champions. Now I have cravings...
Hopefully the excisions went well and the recovery is swift 😊
