After spending most of last week in Hobart, I planned on returning to my desk on Monday, forgetting I’d booked a couple of skin cancer excisions for the morning—three of them, in fact.
Welcome back, that sounds like a delightful, soul restoring pause. The Slicing and dicing....not so much. Its heartwarming to read that you could take the time to rest after the procedure and snooze. Looking forward to returning to your usual literary shenanigan.
That top photo is a beauty. I often see a similar theme in people’s Hobart photos and I think to myself, gee whiz, when Tasmania discovers the age of steam, that place is really going to take off.
My sympathy for the incisions. I’m in the midst of the same as having moved from Sydney to Brisbane I missed several years of checks. But move on my part.

Hobart is on my list of places I'd kinda like to retire to. That or somewhere on the South Island of UnZud.
You've been here before JB, what will it take for you to remember?
Welcome home! Hope you had a fabulous time in Tassie. Sorry that the slicing and dicing knocked you around 🙁
